TI's high-performance Universal Serial Bus (USB) portfolio includes fully-compliant hub controllers, peripheral devices and power management products. USB is available in three speeds: low-speed (1.5 Mbps), full-speed (12 Mbps or USB 1.1), and high-speed (480 Mbps or USB 2.0). All three speeds offer both asynchronous and isochronous (real-time) data transmission over a simple and inexpensive four-wire cable. This design meets the requirements of many peripherals, including a: keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner, speakers, external storage devices and digital still cameras.
