Split-Chassis PC
In today's desktop PCs, all functions are included in one chassis.
The advantage of this is that a system provides everything in one
box. The disadvantage is that most users place the PC on the floor
as far away as possible to free up desktop space and to reduce the
undesirable fan noise, making access to the I/O inconvenient at
best and impossible at worst. The introduction of cabled PCI
Express provides a better solution.
