TMS320TCI6482
The TMS320TCI6482 (TCI6482) DSP is a programmable DSP for wireless base stations. It provides a power-efficient platform for multi-standard, soft digital baseband solutions. The TCI6482 has the latest TMS320C64x+™ DSP core based on TI's advanced very long instruction word (VLIW) architecture, which can perform up to eight 32-bit instructions during every cycle (cycle time is 1ns). In addition to the 1 GHz performance of the basic architecture, the TCI6482 includes new extensions that facilitate code size reduction and processes complex arithmetic and bit manipulation functions across wireless standards.
TMS320TCI100Q
The TMS320TCI100Q DSP offers the heightened bandwidth needed to deliver wider network coverage areas, clearer signals and cutting-edge features like wireless video download and real-time video conferencing over a cellular handset. With the lowest power per channel in the market, this DSP is also highly beneficial for GSM/EDGE and UMTS transceiving applications as well as for transcoding/media gateway designs. Additionally, for TD-SCDMA baseband processing, this product can reduce the number of processors for a full carrier from three to two, which when combined with device operation at less than 2 W decreases the overall power per channel by 20 percent.
TMS320TCI100
Underlying 3G innovations is Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) technology, which is pushing the expectations of wireless networks far beyond previous limitations. The TMS320TCI100 operates at speeds up to 720 MHz, and was designed specifically for high-performance, multi-channel 3G wireless base stations. The TCI100 DSP anchors TI's UMTS infrastructure chipset, which enables a high degree of flexibility while dramatically reducing development and BOM costs, and speeding time-to-market.
