| Diversity in today’s global business environment is all the ways in which we differ. This includes the obvious differences such as race and gender, as well as differences in work styles and thoughts or ideas. Everyone is part of diversity.
At TI, diversity works to:

Why an inclusive environment?
An inclusive environment creates an atmosphere where a globally diverse workforce and the contributions people of different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives bring to TI are recognized and valued.
An inclusive environment is also one where employees feel there are no artificial barriers to their success and where all TI employees worldwide can contribute. Such an environment is important because it focuses on TI’s need for highly-effective, global teaming and trust. TI’s Diversity Network
The TI Diversity Network (TIDN) is a network of employees from each of the company’s diversity initiatives. TIDN is an integral part of TI’s business and has a tremendous impact on the development and implementation of programs both in the workplace and the community.

TI employees have formed a number of grassroots organizations to help the company, and themselves, in support of a diverse culture. The initiatives, which are open to all employees, include:

- Vietnamese Initiative (VNII)
A variety of programs and activities have been established to support TI’s diversity strategy including:
- Work-Life resources to help employees manage their life at home and work
- Recruiting efforts through diversity organizations and professional societies
- Support of the Safe Space™ program
- Community involvement programs
- Education and workforce development strategies
- Economic development activities committed to doing business with women- and minority-owned firms
