DLP® Discovery™ 4100

The DLP® Discovery™ 4100 from Texas Instruments is a DLP-based developer’s kit that is capable of extremely fast switching speeds and offers high resolution performance in Spatial Light Modulation (SLM). The D4100 kit offers developers a flexible platform to design products using the proven reliability of DLP technology.

The digital micro-mirror device (DMD) at the heart of DLP technology is an optical semiconductor module that allows the digital manipulation and projection of light. When integrated with a light source and optics, this unique technology creates binary light patterns across a wide-range of resolutions with speed, precision and efficiency far surpassing that of other spatial light modulators.

The DLP chipset in the D4100 kit includes several exciting features such as:

• Six DMD offerings including a 0.95" 1920x1080, an HD resolution DLP chip
• UV and NIR transmission windows
• Alternate DMD package type
• Up to 400 MHz 2xLVDS interface that enables up to 48 Gigabits per second data rate
