• Form factor target board with full system software
• Acoustic Technologies RAPID-HFK Tools

The TI Hands-Free Kit Reference Design, Lyrtech, offers all the necessary hardware and software for creating unique Bluetooth 2.0 EDR and audio streaming-enabled, high-quality cell phone hands-free car kits for the automobile aftermarket. The Hands-Free Kit is based on the TMS320C54HFK DSP which enables additional proprietary or off-the-shelf algorithms to be added to fit individual product needs through extensible APIs.

Key features include:

  • Acoustic Technologies, Inc. provides the RAPID-HFK™ tuning and diagnostic tool for real time acoustic analysis and tuning of full duplex communication, echo cancellation and noise reduction algorithms
  • Integrated Bluetooth® 2.0 EDR chipset, stakes and profiles makes your design compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phones, regardless of the manufacturer, and adds audio streaming functionality (A2DP and SBC profiles)
  • Based on the TMS320C54HFK DSP which is optimized for HFK products, you can add a wide range of differentiating features to the baseline design such as audio streaming, speech recognition, and text to speech.
  • The HFK can be connected directly to the car stereo so that audio is broadcast through car stereo speakers and can be streamed to a Bluetooth headset or used with independent speakers
  • Provides hands-free operation to make/receive calls through Adamya’s Bluetooth software stack via Host Controller Interface
  • Numerous TI, Bluetooth and analog and logic components help complete the reference design, which is available for $495 through Lyrtech

Additional Features of the HFK include:

  • SoundClear® AEC, NR from Acoustic Technologies
  • Address book synchronization with Bluetooth handset
  • Streaming audio through from Bluetooth source device from Adamya
  • Hardware volume controls
  • Mute car radio or audio streaming source on reception or initiation of call

Optional Features of the HFK include:

  • Voice Dialing (digit & name-speaker dependent)
  • Text-to-Speech capabilities
  • Fixed function name dialing
  • 2nd Microphone for beam-forming
  • MP3/ AAC Decode
  • LCD Interface
  • Automatic Call Answer after preset number of rings

Note: The HFK requires an external JTAG emulator and full Code Composer Studio in order for engineers add their own software customization.
