Description
The ADS5270EVM provides a convenient platform to evaluate the ADS5270, an 8-Channel, 12-Bit, 40Msps Analog-to-Digital converter, that features serialized LVDS digital outputs. In the event the user does not already have a method to attach to and analyze the data from the LVDS data stream, a deserializer board is offered. This board, the ADSDeSer-50EVM, directly connects to the ADS5270EVM and provides the data in parallel form for all eight channels simultaneously.
Each of the eight analog inputs on the ADS5270EVM uses a transformer configured to convert the single-ended input signal into a differential signal feeding into the ADS5270. The ADS5270EVM can be operated from a +3.3V supply.
The EVM kit includes software and a serial port cable that will allow the user to access the internal register of the ADS5270 and perform the evaluation under various part configurations. The ADS5270EVM evaluation board comes completely assembled.
