Description

The ADS5272EVM provides a convenient platform to evaluate the ADS5272, an 8-Channel, 12-Bit, 65Msps Analog-to-Digital converter, that features serialized LVDS digital outputs. In the event the user does not already have a method to attach to and analyze the data from the LVDS data stream, a deserializer board is offered. This board, the ADSDeSer-50EVM, directly connects to the ADS5272EVM and provides the data in parallel form for all eight channels simultaneously. Each of the eight analog inputs on the ADS5272EVM uses a transformer configured to convert the single-ended input signal into a differential signal feeding into the ADS5272. The ADS5272EVM can be operated from a +3.3 V supply. The EVM kit includes software and a serial port cable that will allow the user to access the internal register of the ADS5272 and perform the evaluation under various part configurations.
