The TRF6901/MSP430 European Evaluation Kit is to be used for evaluating the functionality and system performance of Texas Instruments' TRF6901 ISM-band RF tranceiver. It can be used to establish a single frequency PC-to-PC 32 Kbaud bidirectional RF datalink within the European 868-870 MHz ISM band. The MSP430F149 FLASH microcontroller comes preprogrammed with baseband communication routines to implement an RS-232 link protocol. The kit is intended to be an evaluation tool and is not to be considered a reference design itself. The TRF6901 can be driven independently through a PC parallel port.

  • Input Voltage: 4.5V to 8V, 60 mA nominal during TX mode
  • RF Output Power: +7 dBm typical at 869 MHz
