The Network Developers Kit (NDK) provides a TCP/IP stack, some network applications, and EMAC device drivers that work with DSP/BIOS on various DaVinci(TM) Digital Media devices and TMS320C600(TM) High Performance DSPs, including: DM643x, DM648, DM642, C6424, C6452, C6455, C6474, C6747 and TCI648x devices.

Features

The NDK includes:

  • Core TCP/IP protocol stack: Dual-mode IPv6/IPv4 stack in both source and binary only including VLAN packet priority marking, TCP, UDP, ICMP, IGMP, IP, and ARP
  • Network applications: HTTP, TELNET, TFTP, DNS, DHCP (IPv4 only) in both source and binary form
  • Application Programming interfaces: BSD Sockets, including support for raw Ethernet
  • Device drivers: Pre-tested device drivers in source and binary form for the on-chip EMACs of supported DSPs.

The NDK is available free of charge for both development and production.

  • The NDK is available as a free product download that includes TCP/IP stack binary libraries for all supported TI devices.
  • Source code and binary libraries are provided for the network applications, jumbo packet buffer manager, and device drivers.
  • The NDK also provides example programs and documentation (release notes, user guide, Ethernet driver design guide, and programmer’s guide).
