Description

The Packet Sniffer is a PC software application used to display and store RF packets captured with a listening RF Device. The RF Device is connected to the PC with an USB cable. Various RF protocols are supported. The Packet Sniffer filters and decodes packets and displays them in a convenient way, with options for filtering and storage to a binary file format.

Compatibility Issues

The packet sniffer used for CC2420DK or CC2420ZDK (with PCB boards CC2400EB + CC2420EM or CC2420DB) has some differences compared with the packet sniffer used for the other HW platforms. The filter features and the packet buffering are different. The packet buffer only resides in ram.

Installation recommendations:

  • Download file to your hard drive.
  • Unzip file.
  • Read the readme.txt file for information about the release.
  • Run the set-up file and follow the instructions.
