Product InformationDescriptionThis reference design is for four synchronous buck converters and a +12V linear regulator. The +12V linear regulator is a UA78M12 and can provide 100mA from a 15V input. The +1.2V buck converter uses the TPS40001 controller and provides 1.8A from a 5V input. The other switching regulators use the TPS40051 controller. The +5V buck converter provides 1.7A from a 22V or 15V input. The +3.3V buck converter provides 4A from 22V or 15V as well. A 2.5V buck converter provides 3A from the 15V input. The 5V, 3.3V and 2.5V converters are synchronized to the TPS40001 oscillator. This lowers input ripple current and reduces EMI. Each converter can be turned on/off from a single control signal. Grounding the DAM_CTL signal turns all the converters on. The 1.2V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V converters have additional switched outputs that are enabled when the 22V input is present. If the 22V input is not present, the switched outputs are turned off and the unswitched outputs are not affected. What's Included |
