Description

An evaluation kit is now available to evaluate the performance of the TLV320AIC10 DSPcodec. The TLV320AIC10 provides a glueless interface to TI's TMS320 C54x and C6x DSPs. The EVM has several functions:

  1. Supports the DSP McBSP gluelessly. 1 Master and 7 Slave codecs are supported (The board contains a master and slave codec already populated).
  2. Full Microphone Interface. Only hookup is required for an electret microphone.
  3. Full DAA Interface. The EVM includes a standard DAA.
  4. Normal Analog Input/Output. The input is with front-end amplifiers. There is a single-ended to differential amplifier stage. Output goes to 8-ohm speaker drivers.

The TLV320AIC10 DSPcodec features a powerful glueless serial interface that maximizes DSP performance and eliminates glue logic. It supports a Direct Configuration Mode for On-the-Fly Reconfiguration. Up to 8 codecs (1 Master and 7 Slaves) on a single serial port are supported. Only 39mW of power are dissipated at 8KSPS which is 25% lower than the competition. Power management is included, giving you the flexibility to conserve power. Additional features of the TLV320AIC10 include Built-in Microphone Bias and Pre-Amp, Programmable Gain Amplifier (PGA), Anti-Aliasing Filter, and Hybrid Op-Amp.

Connect a 30 AWG insulated wire from Pin 7 of U14 to Pin 7 of U17 to complete ground connection.
