Description

– Production-ready, easy-to-use audio and video codecs for digital media processors based on DaVinci™ technology and OMAP applications processors. Bundles may include NDK, G.711, JPEG, MPEG-2, H.264 BP and MPEG-4 SP codecs. Click Request form for details.

  • TO EVALUATE – Evaluate digital media software at no charge for 60 days with a simple click-wrap license.
  • FOR PRODUCTION – For certain Production Bundles, the license fee can WAIVED with acceptance of click-wrap license. License is available for review on the Request form. After your order is placed, instructions for downloading will be sent. The License will be presented during software download on MyRegistered Software (TI’s software management portal).

The HE-AAC and AAC LC decoders are proven modules. The ready-to-implement HE-AAC and AAC LC decoders reduce time-to-market because they can be treated as tested modules and integrated into a software system. TI’s decoders conform to the standard originally developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The AAC LC decoder implements the AAC low-complexity (LC) and long-term prediction (LTP) object types, while the HE-AAC decoder implements the high-efficiency (HE), low-memory and low-MIPS profiles as well as the LC and LTP object types.

Both of TI’s AAC products are optimized audio decoders and are xDM compliant. They are available in system tested codec combinations with Codec Engine, DSP/BIOS, DSPLink and Framework components. The combinations include the H.264 main profile decoder and the respective AAC decoder in an audio/video example application. Other example combinations are planned for the future.

  • Supports AAC LC object type implementations up to two channels
  • Supports Audio Data Interchange Format (ADIF) and Audio Data Transport Stream (ADTS) input formats, those files encoded with ISO/IEC 13818-7 or 14496-3 compliant encoders
  • Supports sampling frequency range of 8 kHz – 96 kHz as per ISO/IEC 14496-3 standard
  • Supports maximum bit-rate based on sampling frequency as per standard
