The FlashBurn Porting Kit provides source code and technical documentation for configuring flash memory programming on custom boards. FlashBurn uses Code Composer Studio and a JTAG emulator to program flash memory quickly and reliably. FlashBurn uses the processing power and speed of the DSP to program the flash.
The FlashBurn PC application supports flash memory erase, programming and verification. Batch mode operation is supported for system testing and low volume production. FlashBurn can operate on multiprocessor DSP systems, allowing the user to choose the processor to use in programming the flash.
The porting kit includes full source code for programming the flash memory on the DSK5402, DSK5416, DSK5510, DSK6416, DSK6713 and OMAP5912. The included technical documentation leads the developer through the process of modifying the flash programming algorithm for use with other flash memories and custom board configurations. Starting from one of the provided examples, the developer can quickly configure flash programming support for any flash memory that is accessible from the DSP.
