Description

The ready-to-implement WMA9 decoder reduces time-to-market because it can be treated as a tested module and integrated into a software system. The TI WMA9 audio decoder is xDM compliant. It is available in a system tested codec combination with Codec Engine, DSP/BIOS, DSPLink, and Framework components.

NOTE: The DM355S AUDIO Codec Bundle must be used when TMS320CDM355 devices are used. This Ittiam production code is also available for free. Please contact Ittiam directly for support questions.

• All versions of WMA, namely: V2, V7, V8, V9, V9 beta odd and V9 NC are supported
• VBR (Variable Bit Rate) mode
• Class 4 implementation
• Mono and stereo sound systems
• Compliant with the test acceptance criteria defined in Microsoft’s certification process
• Outputs a raw 16-bit PCM signal
• Output sampling rates of 8 to 48 kHz and 5 to 384 kbps input bit rates
• One or two channels if WMA-STD is enabled and 7.1 channels if WMA_PRO is enabled
• Bit-compliant as per the Microsoft test acceptance criterion

Available Updates

• For production codecs (BASIC or AUDIO Bundles), users will be notified of updates when they are available. Downloads will be delivered via myRegistered Software (TI’s software management portal).
• For evaluation codecs, the most current version available is delivered at the time of the Evaluation request.
