 Description |
The ready-to-implement WMA9 decoder reduces time-to-market because it can be treated as a tested module and integrated into a software system. The TI WMA9 audio decoder is xDM compliant. It is available in a system tested codec combination with Codec Engine, DSP/BIOS, DSPLink, and Framework components.

- All versions of WMA, namely: V2, V7, V8, V9, V9 beta odd and V9 NC are supported
- VBR (Variable Bit Rate) mode
- Class 4 implementation
- Mono and stereo sound systems
- Compliant with the test acceptance criteria defined in Microsoft’s certification process
- Outputs a raw 16-bit PCM signal
- Output sampling rates of 8 to 48 kHz and 5 to 384 kbps input bit rates
- One or two channels if WMA-STD is enabled and 7.1 channels if WMA_PRO is enabled
- Bit-compliant as per the Microsoft test acceptance criterion
