Developed with Mistral Solutions, the OMAP35x Evaluation Module (EVM) enables developers to start immediate evaluation of OMAP processors and begin building low power applications such as
digital TV, navigation, games, data terminals, point of sale / service, software defined radio,
medical, media controllers and numerous other low power, high performance products that have yet to be invented.

Features
Featuring the OMAP35x high-performance Superscalar ARM® Cortex-A8 with NEON co-processing this EVM
will allow developers to evaluate and jumpstart development. Equipped with daughter card expansion connections, the OMAP35x EVM can be used to prototype complete systems and is upgradeable to support future OMAP35x processors. The OMAP35x Evaluation Module includes the following hardware components:
- OMAP35x-based Target Board Processor
- 128 MB LPDDR/128 MB oneNAND Flash or similar capacity and function
- Touch screen LCD display w/stylus
- Landscape/Portrait modes
- International Power supply with EURO and US power cords
- Serial and USB cables
TI's eXpressDSP Linux-based Software Development Kit (SDK) along with Sourcery G++ evaluation tools from CodeSourcery allow developers and system integrators to build and debug CortexA8-based applications. The OMAP35x EVM includes the following software:
- OMAP3503 Linux Kernel 2.6.22 Board Support Package (BSP)
- Peripheral drivers
- U-boot for boot loading
- Busybox based root file system
- Sourcery G++ evaluation tools from CodeSourcery
- Image Viewer demo

Software Updates now available for registered users
- Add the OMAP3530 Linux DVSDK (Digital Video Software Development Kit) to your SDK installation. The OMAP3530 DVSDK Beta Software release for OMAP3530 gives developers the ability to begin development using the DSP and video accelerators available on the OMAP3530. The Linux DVSDK Beta software includes the 2.6.22 LSP, xDAIS developers kit, Evaluation Codecs, TI Codec Engine, DSPBIOS and BIOS Link, plus Demo applications.
- Request the BSP Demo - Demo the WinCE BSP on your OMAP35x EVM today. (SD Card needed for BSP image, refer to the readme.txt file after downloading.
- Request DVSDK Early Adopter (EA) Source Code - Begin development today with the OMAP35x WinCE DVSDK with BSP source code early adopter software. Registered users can request this same file via the OMAP Software Update extranet at www.ti.com/omapsoftwareupdates. The WinCE DVSDK includes a production quality Windows CE 6.0 R2 BSP provided by TI third party partner, BSQUARE. All function blocks of the OMAP3530 will be available as subsequent updates, including Cortex™ A-8 ARM application processor, TMS320C64x™ DSP & video accelerator, 2D/3D OpenGL ES graphics engine & shared peripheral set
