Description

TMS320C6424 EVM Software Updates

The C6424 Evaluation Module is a comprehensive, low cost solution allowing developers to quickly evaluate, develop, and prototype systems based on the powerful C642x DSPs.

The C6424 EVM target board features embedded JTAG support for standalone operation with the supplied board-specific Code Composer Studio development tools enabling developers to jump start their design.

Adding to utility of this EVM, is the multi-operating system (OS) offering for these DSPs; the EVM includes field proven DSP/BIOS kernel and VirtualLogix’s Linux with a full production license free of charge. This Linux Kernel also can operate simultaneously with DSP/BIOS on the same DSP through the use of the VirtualLogix DSP tool, VLX. This feature will be extremely attractive to customers who must combine real-time signal processing tasks with more traditional computing tasks like graphical user interfaces on the same DSP.
