Description

The TPS2301EVM-153 is an evaluation module to easily evaluate the TPS23xx dual hot swap controller ICs. The evaluation module and interface card help designers evaluate and simulate hot insertion and hot removal actions under various loads. The TPS2301 (active-high enabled Dual controller) is the hot swap device featured on the EVM. To evaluate other dual devices in the family, replace the TPS2301 with the desired TPS23xx device (available from TI's free web sample program) and change the switch labled S1 on the EVM to "Low" if the new device has an active-low enable. To evaluate single channel TPS23xx devices, simply evaluate Channel 1 of the nearest dual device.

Features

These hot swap controllers eliminate high frequency hot-plug or hot removal transients, reduce in-rush current, and provide overcurrent protection.
