View TPS62300EVM-085 Graphic The Texas Instruments TPS62300EVM-085 evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS62300 family of DC to DC converters. The TPS62300 is a high frequency synchronous step down converter optimized for small battery powered portable applications. The EVM consists of four independent circuits: one based on the adjustable output TPS62300 (output set at 1.8V, QFN package), one based on the TPS62300 in chip scale packaging (output set at 1.5V, CSP), one based on the fixed output TPS62301 (output fixed at 1.5V, CSP), and one based on the TPS62302 (output fixed at 1.6V, CSP). The first circuit is equipped with terminal connections and jumpers for easy input and output connection, enable control, and PWM/PFM operation. The latter three circuits are optimized for space and can be individually snapped out of the main EVM board. The small snap-out boards are approximately 9mm x 12mm with pads for the input/output connections.
The EVM development tool includes a tested evaluation module (HPA085) with four operational circuits; a user guide (SLVU115) that contains the schematic, bill of materials, components placement, layout and the setup of the EVM; and the TPS62300 data sheet.
The only necessity to use the EVM is a power source, either a DC source or a battery pack with a voltage of 2.7 to 6.0V.
