New 1 GHz TMS320DM6467T DaVinci™ video processor provides full HD H.264 with flexibility for multi-channel, multi-format video processing
TMS320DM6467T DaVinci™ video processor with 1 GHz performance is a single-chip solution capable of enabling network digital video applications to decode high-definition (HD) H.264 (1080p at up to 60 frames per second (fps)) while providing the optimized imaging support and advanced video processing capabilities required to support up to eight simultaneous channels of H.264 D1 real-time video
encoding with a third party solution.
DM6467T key features and benefits:
1 GHz C64x+™ DSP and 500 MHz ARM9 for increased performance
H.264 1080p decoding up to 60 fps, as well as multiple D1 channel encoding with a third party solution
Faster DDR2 interface at 400 MHz for more efficient video throughput
Two integrated 500 MHz HD Video/Imaging Co-Processors (HD-VICP) accelerate video processing and increase application efficiency
Faster 150 MHz video port interface supports 1080p capture/display and serial/parallel stream
PCI bus increased to 66 MHz for faster data transfer
Comprehensive video analytics function libraries are available off-the-shelf
Hardware and software compatibility with existing TMS320DM6467
DM6467T Evaluation Module
The new DM6467T evaluation module (EVM) comes complete with software, tools and demonstration applications enabling developers to evaluate video processing algorithms and chip performance as well as immediately begin application development. Board support software includes the DaVinci Linux Git, Open Source Linux, DSP/BIOS Link and frameworks for audio/video and codec engines. TI will also be offering a TMDXSDV6467T daughter card for backward display compatibility with the DM6467 evaluation module. Get started today.
Note: In the beta version of the DVSDK, H.264 1080p decode achieves slightly less than 60 fps. The GA version will address this issue and is planned to be available in 2Q10.
