SILICON

New TMS320C6412 DSP @ 720 MHz Dramatically Reduces System Costs – The C6412 DSP @ 720 MHz enables developers of high-end, multi-channel communications systems to replace multiple DSPs in production systems with a single C6412 DSP, and utilize an on chip Ethernet MAC (media access controller) and/or PCI interface for efficient communications. The C6412 DSP’s new performance levels reduce overall system costs and device board space in telecom infrastructure, networking and high-resolution imaging applications such as: voice-over packets, video servers, printers, scanners, copiers and faxes.

TMS470 MCUsIntroducing TMS470 ARM7™ Family-Based General Purpose Processors (GPPs) — Based on the 32-bit ARM7TDMI® processor, these new microcontrollers will enhance the current TMS470 offering for general purpose applications such as industrial, medical instrumentation, consumer electronics, and data processing. Featuring up to 60 MHz of performance and combined with TI’s broad portfolio of enhanced on-chip peripherals, the complete TMS470 platform will include seven devices ranging from 64 KB to 1 MB of flash memory.

THS4509THS4509: Wideband, Low Noise, Low Distortion Amp
The THS4509 is a fully-differential amplifier, designed for 5 V data acquisition systems with very low noise and extremely low harmonic distortion. It enables designers to achieve optimal high-speed performance and ensure accurate low-level signal measurement and high signal fidelity – all with the added benefit of the elimination of complex compensation circuits or drawing large currents. Learn more about the key features and applications.

SOFTWARE

Save Months of Development Time with Visual Language – Use Code Composer Studio™ software and cut months from your development schedule. The article, “Visual Language Speeds Development” by Peter Darnell in Embedded Edge™ Magazine, discusses the rewards of using a program such as VisSim that includes a Code Composer Studio plug-in to draw block diagrams of algorithms and makes a positive impact on the development cycle. Read more.

Application-Specific Software at Your Fingertips – Explore TI’s extensive library of eXpressDSP™-compliant software by application area. From audio and GSM to video, imaging and wireless, TI has software to meet your application-specific design needs.
