Audio
Systems on a Chip Shrink Consumer Electronics
Size and Cost
By putting a powerful DSP, a microcontroller
and high-performance audio converters on a
single chip, TI can help lower the bill of
material costs for digital TV audio systems
and iPod/MP3 docking stations. The audio systems
on a chip will allow manufacturers to bring
high-performance consumer electronics to market
faster, with an efficient drag-and-drop GUI.
See the TAS3204
and TAS3208
product bulletins for technical details. |

White
Paper: BDTI Analysis of Digital Video Evaluation
Module
Berkeley Design Technology, Inc. (BDTI) recently
evaluated the ease-of-use of the TMS320DM644x
Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM) for
ARM-Linux users interested in developing multimedia
applications without programming a DSP. Their
methodology included board setup and sample
application installation and testing. For
BDTI’s review of the DVEVM’s user-friendly,
“impressive” out-of-the-box experience,
