New application note: “Measuring Power Consumption and Battery Lifetime Calculations Based on the Hardware and Software in the eZ430-RF2480 Demonstration Kit”
This application note introduces linear voltage regulators and DC/DC converters and how they influence performance and efficiency. Texas Instruments Low-Power RF products are tested in combination with the company’s Low-Power DC/DC converters. The last section gives an overview of the main design considerations when using DC/DC converters for Low-Power RF applications.

ZigBee Developers Conference, June 24-25, 2008, Munich, Germany
Texas Instruments will be showing the newly released CC2480 2.4-GHz ZigBee network processor. TI Third Party Developer Network members Radiocrafts and Amber will also be there to exhibit modules and help you with developer questions. Additionally, Radiocrafts and TI will hold hands-on training for designing with ZigBee.

Texas Instruments at Sensors Expo, June 9-11, 2008, Rosemont, Ill.
Khanh Tuan Le, a senior system engineer from TI, will present cost-effective and power-friendly solutions for ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networks. Register here.

Low-Power RF and ZigBee Networking Workshop
This hands-on, three-day course provides a solid foundation in RF capabilities, MAC layer communication, OSAL/HAL usage, ZigBee networking and Z-Stack software-based product development.
