Application and design notes
New RF4CE application note: Power consumption for RemoTI
Using wire wound inductors improves maximum output power to +12/+11 dBm at 868/915 MHz, reduces the current consumption for a given output power, reduces the harmonics emission, and improves the sensitivity by 1-2 dB compared to using multi–layer inductors. The new revision of the data sheet includes electrical parameters for operation at 868/915 MHz when using wire wound inductors.

New RF4CE application note: RemoTI coexistence testing
One of the main concerns about using the crowded 2.4GHz band. This appnote shows the results of how a TI RF4CE based remote control performance is affected by two 802.11n WiFi units streaming data at up to 15MB/s.

RemoTI simple application guide
This application note complements the RemoTI-CC2530DK kit and provides a simple application (SimpleApp), both remote controller and target node, which runs on the SmartRF05EB+CC2530EM. This enables application developers to develop RemoTI applications without the RemoTI-CC2530DK.

RemoTI host processor sample application and porting guide
This guide explains procedures for porting the host (MCU) processesor code to interface with RemoTI configured as a network processor communication over SPI or UART. Includes sample code for MSP430.

RemoTI and CC2530 achieve ZigBee RF4CE Golden Unit Status
Texas Instruments is among the first members to have successfully implemented the new ZigBee RF4CE specification and pass independent testing conducted by ZigBee test houses to achieve Golden Unit status. This milestone enables original equipment manufacturers to create ZigBee RF4CE certified products that allow for advanced interoperable communications between components and remote controls while providing interoperability between OEM's. You can get started with TI's ZigBee RF4CE golden unit solution, RemoTI, by purchasing a RemoTI-CC2530DK kit (www.ti.com/remoti) and downloading the RemoTI protocol stack free from TI's website.

ZigBee selected by Continua Health Alliance for next generation guidelines
The Continua Health Alliance has endorsed ZigBee Health Care as Continua's new low power local area network (LAN) standard. ZigBee Health Care offers interference-free wireless connectivity, supporting thousands of devices on a single network. This technology is recommended for sending and control in professional settings, homes, recreation centers, and across large campuses. You can get started with TI's ZigBee PRO solution, Z-Stack, by purchasing a CC2530DK or CC2530ZDK development kit and downloading Z-Stack free of charge from TI's website (www.ti.com/z-stack).
