Correction: Cubic Global Tracking mist™ mesh technology

In the April newsletter there was an error in regards to mist™ mesh technology by Cubic Global Tracking Solutions. Cubic GTS does not use the ZigBee protocol with the TI CC2530 system-on-chip (SoC) hardware. Rather, Cubic GTS has developed its own advanced mesh networking technology branded as mist™. The mist™ protocol stack and hardware product line was optimized for ad hoc mobile mesh networking applications that require extremely low power profiles, industrial scalability, and robust security.

The Ultimate RoadTest featuring SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® CC3000 and MSP430™

TI and element14 have created the Ultimate RoadTest, a competition which will stretch the capabilities of three highly-skilled and creative engineers from across the globe. The task is to design and build a working prototype using existing development tools, software, and design tools that creates a real-world solution for the Home Automation market. The end application must be based around the CC3000-FRAM-EMK (includes SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi®CC3000 evaluation module and MSP430 MSP-EXP430FR5739 FRAM Experimenter Board) and should strive to include functional elements utilizing wireless, sensing, motor control, and lighting.
