NEW Design Note – DN501 - CC112X RSSI and CS Response Time
Carrier Sense (CS) response time is the time the radio will be in RX state when RX termination based on CS is enable,. The AGC module returns an estimate of the signal strength received at the antenna and CS is asserted when signal strength is above a set threshold. This design note shows how the carrier sense response time differs with various radio settings. Low CS response times can help reduce RX power consumption and is used in for example RX Sniff Mode.
