The CC2540T is the first Bluetooth low energy wireless microcontroller to connect industrial applications to the IoT. With an extended temperature range, long battery life and robust 2.4 GHz performance, the CC2540T is driving Bluetooth Smart into new applications including lighting, motor control and cable replacement.

TI Bluetooth Stack based on SSO Bluetopia® now fully supported as TI tool
As part of TI’s ongoing investment in Bluetooth solutions and commitment to provide faster development cycles for our customers, TI has taken over full support of the Bluetooth Stack that is based on the Stonestreet One (SSO) Bluetopia stack software for customers using key TI platforms. Moving forward it will be supported and delivered as the TI Bluetooth Stack software for the CC2560 Bluetooth, CC2564 Bluetooth dual-mode solutions and WiLink™ 8 combo-connectivity solutions.

Energia now available for SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3100 BoosterPack and CC3200 LaunchPad
A new release of Energia, an open-source electronics prototyping platform developed with the goal to bring the Arduino and Wiring framework to the TI’s LaunchPad evaluation kits, is available that adds support for the SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3200 LaunchPad and CC3100 BoosterPack.

New TI Design: Bluetooth low energy light based on the CC2540T
This Simple and "ready to go" design shortens your time to market. It is a reference design using the new SimpleLink Bluetooth low energy CC2540T with high temperature range suited for LED. The board includes RGBW LEDs controlled by the CC2540T and is USB powered. The board can be controlled out-of-the-box by the TI BLE Multitool smart phone app.

Dynamic field-powered NFC design for data logging, access control, and security
This reference design is a sub-system design for NFC and authentication. This subsystem design is intended as a reference design for part authentication, access control, personal identification, battery-less sensor interface, security token transfer, and low power transfer of local data.
