Technical Documents Search Help

How does 'Most Useful' work?

'Most Useful' sorting guides you to documents that other visitors found useful. TI.com uses a proprietary algorithm that learns from visitors' anonymous behavioral patterns to understand the value of documents in context of website visits. Each document associated with a product or application receives a quality score, based on:

  • Interactions on the page containing a link to the document
  • Pages that lead to or are visited after downloading the document
  • Time spent on the page
  • Bounce rate from the page
  • Searches performed during the visit
  • Number of documents accessed per visit

These are just a few. The algorithm uses a blend of different metrics to list the documents in an order that other website visitors have found valuable.
