Technical Documents Search Help

How does 'Most Useful' work?

'Most Useful' sorting guides you to documents that other visitors found useful. TI.com uses a proprietary algorithm that learns from visitors' anonymous behavioral patterns to understand the value of documents in context of website visits. Each document associated with a product or application receives a quality score, based on:

  • Interactions on the page containing a link to the document
  • Pages that lead to or are visited after downloading the document
  • Time spent on the page
  • Bounce rate from the page
  • Searches performed during the visit
  • Number of documents accessed per visit

These are just a few. The algorithm uses a blend of different metrics to list the documents in an order that other website visitors have found valuable.

How does 'Most Recent' work?

To some visitors recency of content is of prime importance. Clicking on the 'Most Recent' tab will display a list of documents matching your search criteria, sorted by latest revised date first.

How does 'Most Viewed' work?

‘Most viewed’ sorting is calculated based on number of clicks that a document garners. At times you want to read the most popular document for a product or application. Clicking on 'Most Viewed' tab will display a list of documents matching your search criteria, sorted by most visited documents first.

You can see number of views at the end of first line of a search result.
