Cost-Effective, Simple Power Supply Solution forTMS320C24x DSPs
The task of generating a power supply for DSPs in space-constrained control applications can be a challenging task because of the need to minimize its cost and size. Therefore, this application report provides information on a simplified approach for designing a power supply. A sophisticated power supply controller and a novel power-conversion topology are introduced that minimize external components, while providing complete protection of the converter and output voltage regulation.
