Answers

  1. What software is available for the SDP?

Answer: Board Support Packages (BSPs) for High Level Operating Systems including WinCE, Linux and Symbian are available for selected SDPs. BSPs must be licensed from TI. For more information on the availability of a BSP for a particular SDP, and to begin the licensing process, please contact your TI sales representative.

TI also provides utility software supporting SDP board diagnostics and flashing. The utility software can be downloaded here:

Please contact your TI sales representative for information about source code releases.

  11. What is a Virtual Platform?

Answer: A Virtual Platform is a high performance software simulator of a TI Software Development Platform (SDP). It is for use by hardware-dependent software developers in creating device drivers, codecs, and DSP and ARM middleware. Virtual Platforms simplify multi-core debugging for the developer, and are often available to OEMs and developers months before the physical SDP hardware is available. Virtual Platforms are available through Synopsys.
