2009 Little Logic Guide

Check out TI's 2009 Little Logic Guide. This guide details next-generation configurable devices in the Little Logic Portfolio.

With today's market demanding sustained 5-V operation and increased support at 3.3-V and 1.8-V Vcc levels, TI's Little Logic product portfolio continues to grow faster and smaller than ever before. Along with this increase in product family technologies, next-generation wafer chip scale packaging (WCSP) has been introduced to meet the space-constrained applications of portable consumer electronics.

Product Technologies

No matter what voltage you require for your single, dual, or triple gate (1G/2G/3G) applications, TI Little Logic has your solution. Voltage range operating levels from 5.5-V all the way down to sub 1-V Vcc can be utilized with AHC/AHCT (5-V), LVC (3.3-V), AUP (3.3-V), and AUC (1.8-V) product families (see Table 1). If your design requires signal switching, then look no further than TI's CBT bus switches and AUC/LVC analog switches. Devices with voltage translation and configurable multiple functions are also available in the TI Little Logic portfolio.

Packaging

Texas Instruments offers Little Logic devices in a variety of 5, 6, and 8-pin packages. Depending on your design constraints, you can choose from the standard plastic, leadframe packages or choose the world's smallest logic packages available today, NanoStar™ and NanoFree™.

Little Logic Packaging

As portable consumer electronic products continue to decrease in size and require advancements in semiconductor process technology, IC packaging must answer the demand for real estate and increased performance. NanoStar™ and NanoFree™ devices provide the needed solution by offering a package that is 70% smaller than the 5-pin SC-70 and 13% smaller than any other logic package available today. Both share the same package dimensions with the only difference being their solder bump composition. NanoFree™ provides an environmental friendly Pb-free alternative.

The More we Grow the Smaller we Get

Whether you are looking to optimize your circuit routing, maximize board space, or implement a quick fix on your ASIC design, TI is committed to deliver a product portfolio that will meet your design needs. TI Little Logic continues to add new product families and advanced packaging to meet the ever-changing market demands, which goes to show that the more we grow the smaller we get.
