(January 28, 2004) -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE:TXN) announced
that TI Vice President Ron Slaymaker will speak at the Thomas Weisel Partners
Tech 2004 Conference in San Francisco on Monday, February 2, at 9:10 a.m.
PST. Slaymaker will discuss TI's business outlook and its strategy to address
key markets for its DSP and Analog technologies and how these capabilities
position it for growth.

The appointment comes as the semiconductor industry faces numerous challenges
in its steady progress toward ever smaller transistors integrated on chips

options are just a few of the issues the CTO will address.
