Is there a procedure for configuring the OMAP35x EVM to boot from an SD card? I would assume some of the settings for SW4 would have to change, and also that the SD card may need to be formatted in a particular way. And do I understand correctly that the OMAP35x can not boot from a USB memory device? (But can boot over USB interface connected to a host that supports the peripheral boot protocol of the 35x?) . Find out the answer and view the associated discussion on the TI discussion forum.

Mike Hames, TI’s senior vice president, application-specific products, received a curious Fedex package while on stage during TIDC 2008. In this video, Mike explains how his cell phone tracked the arrival of the package in real time using the technology that was actually inside - the OMAP35x, which includes the ARM Cortex-A8 processor, a C64x(tm) DSP core, high-performance 3-D graphics processing and a host of connectivity options. TI believes that this device can enable a whole new set of applications: enabling next-generation medical electronic technology, for example, or making an impact in point-of-service terminals.
