MSP430 MCUs and Low-Power RF for Reduced Component Count and AMR
MSP430F47x4 ultra-low-power MCUs integrate as many as four 16-bit sigma ADCs, a hardware multiplier, an LCD driver, up to 60 kB of flash and a real-time clock for a 5-to-1 component reduction in single- and multi-phase metering. TI's utility metering portfolio also includes devices for water and gas metering, as well as power-line communications and low-power RF interfaces for automated meter reading. Low-power RF technology, such as the CC1100, enables a wireless link between the meter and meter reader—increasing meter reading accuracy while lowering collection costs. For more information on MSP430 MCUs, see www.ti.com/msp430
