this Issue: POWER MANAGEMENT Single-Cell, Li-Ion Charge Management IC: The bq24070 is part of the bqTINY-III™ series of highly integrated charge and system power management devices. It integrates a 2-A AC power switch, 1.5-A charge FET, current sensor, reverse blocking protection and thermal regulation.
1-A, 1-Cell Li-Ion Charger ICs: The bq2408x bqTINY™ series are highly integrated charge management ICs ideal for low-dropout charger designs for portable applications. The devices integrate a 1-A charge FET, reverse-blocking circuitry and current sense, minimizing the need for external components.
Multi-Cell Battery Charger: The bq24730 is a high-efficiency, synchronous battery pack charger that uses a high-performance, analog front-end that easily interfaces to the system power management microcontroller through a hardware interface. Integrated features include soft start, charge over-current protection and IC temp monitoring.
10-V to 40-V, Synchronous Buck Controller with Tracking: The TPS40056 is a wide input, synchronous, tracking buck controller featuring adaptive gate drivers to drive external NFETs; it is equipped with anti-cross conduction circuitry. Programmable features include soft start, fixed PWM frequency and short-circuit protection.
5.5-V to 36-V Input, 2-A Step-Down Converter: The TPS5420 is a wide-range input voltage DC/DC converter with an integrated 110-mΩ N-channel MOSFET that provides high efficiency at 2A (3A peak). The switching frequency is preset to 500kHz to reduce the size of external components.
5.5-V to 23-V Input, 3-A Step-Down Converter: The TPS5431 is a wide-range input voltage DC/DC converter with an integrated 110mΩ N-channel MOSFET that provides high efficiency at 3A (4A peak). The switching frequency is preset to 500kHz to reduce the size of external components.
5.5-V to 20-V Input, 6-A Step-Down Converter: The TPS54550 is a wide-range input voltage DC/DC converter with an integrated MOSFET that steps down the voltage as low as 0.891V. The switching frequency is adjustable from 250kHz to 700kHz and it can deliver up to 6A output current (7.5A peak).
1.2-A, Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter: The TPS63001/2/3 series of synchronous buck-boost converters is ideal for 1-cell Li-Ion/Li Polymer or 2-3-cell alkaline/NiCd or NiMH battery applications. It features 1.8-V to 5.5-V input voltage range, and can provide up to 1200mA output current at 3.3V in buck mode, or up to 800mA at 3.3V in boost mode.
Bias Power Supply for TV and Monitor TFT LCD Panels: The TPS65161 is a very small power supply solution providing all four voltages required by thin film transistor (TFT) LCD panels. It can be powered directly from a 12-V input voltage generating the bias voltages VGH and VGL, as well as the source voltage, Vs, and logic voltage for the LCD panels.
Integrated, Single-Cell Li-Ion Battery and Power Management IC: The TPS65810 is a fully integrated battery management and power conversion solution for 1-cell, Li-Ion battery-powered systems. The device integrates a battery charger, ADC, two DC/DC step-down converters and one WLED boost converter, a PWM and RGB LED driver as well as 7 LDOs. A SIM card supplies benefits for wireless systems.
150-mA RF LDO with Ultra-High PSRR: The TPS717xx family of low-dropout, low-power linear regulators offers ultra-high PSRR (70dB at 1kHz) while maintaining 50-µA ground current. It is available in fixed output (0.0V to 3.3V) or adjustable output voltages (0.9V to 6.2V). Noise is 30µV (typ).
DATA CONVERTERS 16-Bit, High-Speed ΔΣ ADC: The ADS1610 is a 10-MSPS data rate, high-precision, ΔΣ ADC complete with on-chip digital filter. Oversampling topology provides system-level benefits to simplify designs and improve performance over pipelined alternatives.
Dual, 12-Bit, 65-MSPS, Parallel Output ADC: The ADS5232 is a dual-channel, high-speed ADC that uses digital error correction techniques to provide excellent differential linearity for demanding imaging applications. It features 371mW low power, +3.3-V operation and 1.5- to 2-Vpp analog input range.
14-Bit, 80-MSPS, Ultra-High SFDR ADC: The ADS5433 features increased SFDR performance (96.5dBc [typ] at 30MHz Fin) for improved receiver sensitivity and better adjacent channel rejection in wireless receiver designs. It maintains outstanding low noise and linearity over the frequency range from base-band to 200kHz.
18-Bit, 1-MSPS Parallel ADC with Unipolar Input: The ADS8481 is a zero-latency, 0~4.2V unipolar (pseudo-differential) input ADC with inherent sample/hold and internal 4.096-V reference. Other features include low ±0.2ppm/°C offset error drift, ±0.6ppm/°C gain error drift and 18-bit NMC ensured over temperature.
Quad, Digital Filter for ΔΣ Modulators: The AMC1210 is a 4-channel, digital filter designed specifically for current measurement and resolver position decoding in motor control applications. The four digital filters are independently programmable.
12-Bit, Single-Channel, 4-Quadrant Multiplying DAC: The DAC7811 low-power, 12-bit, 4-quadrant multiplying DAC complete with internal reference and output amplifier is available in a low-profile 3x3 SON package for portable applications. It features a 10-MHz reference bandwidth, -105dB THD and high-speed interface up to 50MHz.
16-Bit, Ultra-Low Glitch, Vout DAC: The DAC8550 is an ultra-low glitch (0.1nV-s), ultra-low crosstalk, low power (200-µA max) voltage output DAC offering 2s complement input and power-on reset to mid-scale options. It is 16-bit monotonic over temperature, has rail-to-rail Vout and SPI-compatible serial interface up to 30MHz.
16-Bit, Parallel, 4-Quadrant Multiplying DAC: The DAC8820 is a single-channel, high-performance, 4-quadrant multiplying DAC with a 16-bit, high-speed parallel interface. Other features include 5-µA at 5-V micropower operation, along with wide reference of ±15V, 10MHz, and -105dB harmonic distortion.
4-Channel, Video Decoder with Independent Scalers: The TVP5154 is a 4-channel, low-power, NTSC/PAL/SECAM video decoder with each channel being independent and having a programmable polymorphic scaler. Outputs formats are 8-bit ITU-R BT.656 format with embedded syncs or 8-bit 4:2:2 with discrete syncs.
AMPLIFIERS & LINEAR Dual Op Amp, Dual Comparator and Adjustable Vref: Integrating a dual op amp, dual comparator and a high-accuracy adjustable voltage reference, the TSM102A and TSM102 provide a space-saving, cost-effective solution for power supply design and signal detection applications.
Temperature Sensor in Chip-Scale Package: The TMP105 temp sensor offers 50-µA Iq, 9- to 12-bit selectable resolution, and is 1.8-V I²C bus capable—an ideal combination for use with modern DSPs, microprocessors and microcontrollers.
Low-Power Temperature Sensor in Chip-Scale Package: The TMP106 temp sensor offers 50µA Iq (typ), 9- to 12-bit selectable resolution, and a standard I²C interface.
CLOCKS & TIMERS Low-Jitter, PLL-Based Clock Multiplier and Divider: The CDCF5801A low-jitter clock multiplier provides multiplication factors of x1, x2, x4, x8 from an input clock of 12.5MHz to 240MHz and for output frequencies between 25MHz and 280MHz. Output pins can be put into high-Z state for power savings.
