VIDEO AND IMAGING

Updated Video and Imaging Solutions Guide Online Now: Explore TI’s solutions for a wide variety of video and imaging applications in this recently updated, comprehensive guide. This in-depth resource includes system block diagrams, product information, benchmarks, development tools, software, support and more.

Compression Algorithms White Paper Online: Huge uncompressed video and audio files create storage issues and delays in downloads. Fortunately, compression algorithms can solve those problems. They reduce download time to around one-tenth what it would be without compromising quality. This white paper discusses two types of compression algorithms: AC-3 and MP3.

ANALOG TRAINING AND SEMINARS

Analog eLab: Optimizing Power in Low-Power Wireless Systems. Most applications for low-power wireless products are in some way power-constrained. This session will go through issues related to power consumption, including system design, selection of power sources and protocol design. Also expect discussions of trade-offs between component cost, component count and battery life. There will be a lab session looking at how to practically measure power consumption in a polling system and how to perform accurate estimation of battery lifetime. Will take place April 12 at 11:00 A.M. CST.

European TI Developer Conference:
Join industry peers and experts at the fourth TI Developer Conference at venues across Europe from March to June, 2006. Choose from up to 18 technical tutorials that include sessions on analog hardware to help you understand power conditioning for the analog signal chain, power supply design pitfalls and strategies to gain insight into the factors influencing your high-resolution data converter or signal conditioning design. To register or for more information, visit www.ti.com/europe/devcon
