this Issue: DATA CONVERTERS Low-Noise, 18-Bit, 1-MSPS Parallel SAR ADC: The ADS8482 includes an 18-bit capacitor-based SAR A/D converter with differential (pseudo-bipolar) input, inherent sample and hold, built-in low drift reference, reference buffer and conversion clock. The ADS8482 also has improved competitive AC/DC performance. For measurement applications, it offers excellent DC stability vs. temperature--0.05ppm/°C offset drift TC and 0.5ppm/°C gain drift TC.
16-Bit, 500-kSPS, Low-Power ADC: The ADS8327, a low-power (10.6mW) SAR ADC with unipolar input, offers a wide voltage serial interface and is capable of chain mode operation.
Low-Noise, Low-Glitch, 16-Bit Multiplying DAC: The DAC8832 is an ultra low- power, single-channel, 16-bit, high accuracy, serial-input, voltage-output DAC operating from a single 3-V to 5-V power supply. The DAC8832 has unbuffered voltage output.
14-Bit, Parallel Input, Multiplying DAC: The DAC8806 is a single-channel, 4-quadrant multiplying DAC featuring fast 0.5µs settling time, high-speed parallel interface and wide +2.7-V to +5.5-V power supply range, making it ideal for low-power applications.
High-End Audio Sample Rate Converters: The SRC4392 and SRC4382 are combo asynchronous sample rate converters with an AES Digital Interface Receiver (DIR) and an AES Digital Interface Transmitter (DIT). Flexible audio interfaces allow connection to a wide range of audio data converters and digital signal processors.
SRC4392: Price (1 ku) $9.95 Stereo, Digital Audio Lip Sync Delay with I²C Control: Designed to provide 170ms of digital audio delay for A/V systems, the TPA5050 is easy to use and requires only one external component. Capable of one-sample delay resolution, the device makes any audio delay imperceptible to the ear.
24-Bit, 96-kHz, High-Performance Stereo Audio ADC: The PCM1808 is a high-performance, low-cost, stereo ADC with single-ended analog voltage input. It features -65dB stopband attenuation, ±0.05dB passband ripple, 256-, 384- or 512-fs sampling rate and it supports left-justified and I²S data formats.
IF Down Converter IC for CATV: The SN761688 is a low-distortion, monolithic IC designed for the out-of-band tuner of a CATV. The circuit integrates an RF AGC amplifier, mixer and IF amplifier.
POWER MANAGEMENT Green-Mode, Quasi-Resonant Controller: The UCC28600 is a green mode quasi-resonant PWM controller for offline AC/DC power supplies. It offers advanced features such as high gate drive current, frequency fold back at light loads and burst mode, making it efficient at all output power levels including no load.
High-Frequency, 4-A Sink, Synchronous MOSFET Driver: The TPS28225 is a high-speed driver for N-channel complimentary driver power MOSFETs with adaptive dead-time (14ns) control and low EMI emissions. The driver is optimized for use in a variety of high-current and multi-phase DC/DC converters.
2nd-Generation Impedance Track™: The bq20z90 battery fuel gauge IC measures the charge and discharge activity of a battery and calculates its remaining capacity. When combined with the bq29330, an analog front-end protector IC, the chipset provides all reporting functions and protects the individual cells of an Li-Ion or Li-Polymer battery pack.
1-A, 1-Cell Li-Ion Charge Management IC: The bq2402x bqTINY™ series are highly integrated charge management ICs that enable battery charging from either an AC adapter or USB port input. They integrate a 1-A charge FET and reverse-blocking circuitry, as well as Charge Enable (CE) and Power Good (PG) functions.
1.5-A, Step-Down DC/DC Converters: The TPS6251x family are high-efficiency, step-down converters targeted for operation from a 1.6-V to 3.8-V input voltage rail. They are ideally suited for 2-cell alkaline or NiMHd applications and POL regulators running from a fixed 3.3-V, 2.5-V or 1.8-V input voltage rail.
3-Channel Boost Supply for Large LCD Displays: The TPS6510x series offers a compact power supply solution that provides all three voltages required by thin film transistor (TFT) LCD displays. An auxiliary linear regulator controller can be used to generate a 3.3-V logic power rail for systems powered by a 5-V supply rail only.
Highly Integrated Battery and Power Management IC: The TPS65820 is a fully integrated battery management and power conversion solution for 1-cell, Li-Ion battery-powered systems. Features include a 1.5A battery charger, two 600mA step-down converters, one boost type white LED driver, ADC, fast I²C serial interface and a SIM card supply.
200-mA, Low Quiescent Current, High-PSRR LDO: The TPS799xx family of low-dropout (LDO), low-power linear regulators offer excellent AC performance with very low ground current. Features include 40µA quiescent current, 29.5µVrms ultra-low noise, 66dB at 1kHz high PSRR and 100mV low dropout.
1-A LDO with Low Noise and High PSRR: The TPS796xx family of LDOs features high PSRR (53dB at 10kHz), excellent line and load transient responses and very low quiescent current, 265µA (typ).
Single-Output, Isolated DC/DC Converter Series: The PTQA4 series of isolated DC/DC converters are housed in an industry-standard quarter-brick package and are rated up to 100W with load currents as high as 30A. They are available in 2.5V/30A and 3.3V/30A output models and offer up to 92% efficiency.
PTQA430033x: Price (1 ku) $35.00 AMPLIFIERS & LINEAR 0.5°C Accurate, Digital-Out Temp Sensor: The TMP275 is a ±0.5°C accurate, two-wire serial output temperature sensor that is SMbus-compatible and allows up to 8 devices on one bus. It operates over a 2.7-V to 5.5-V supply range, has user-selectable 9- to 12-bit resolution and low 50µA quiescent current.
Sensor Signal Conditioning for Closed-Loop Magnetic Current Sensor: The DRV401 is a highly integrated analog circuit that is designed for use with magnetic current sensors from VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG (VAC). The DRV401 advances VAC technology by increasing dynamic range, improving accuracy and reducing the size, cost, and complexity.
LOW-POWER RF CC1100/1150DK Development Kit: The CC1100/1150DK is a complete development tool for developing applications based on the CC1100 transceiver and/or the CC1150 transmitter.
CC2500/CC2550DK Development Kit: The CC2500/2550DK is a complete development tool for developing applications based on the CC2500 transceiver and/or the CC2550 transmitter.
INTERFACE 3.3-V/5-V High-Speed Capacitive Digital Isolators: The ISO722 is a digital isolator that provides an isolation barrier up to 4000V. Working in conjunction with isolated power supplies, these devices prevent noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry.
FlatLink™ 3G Transmitter for Phone Video Displays: The FlatLink 3G SN65LVDS301 device transmits video from the applications processor to the LCD display of a mobile phone. It serializes single-ended parallel data into 1, 2 or 3 low EMI, sub-LVDS lines, beneficial for clamshell phones. It features 24-bit true color and is configurable to support screen resolutions from QVGA up to XGA including HVGA and VGA.
FlatLink™3G Receiver for Video Phone Displays: The SN65LVDS302 receiver de-serializes FlatLink™3G-compliant serial input data to 27 parallel data outputs. The receiver contains one shift register to load 30 bits from 1, 2 or 3 serial inputs and latches the 24 pixel bits and 3 control bits out to the parallel CMOS outputs after checking the parity bit.
1.8-V to 5-V Dual UART With 16-Byte FIFOs: The TL16C2552 is a dual UART with each UART having its own register set and FIFOs, sharing only the data bus interface and clock source. Complete modem control capability and a processor interrupt system provide flexibility for different application needs.
1-Gbps to 4.25-Gbps Limiting Equalizer with LOS: The TLK4201EA, a versatile, high-speed limiting equalizer with LOS for applications in digital high-speed links, is suitable to receive 4.25Gbps data over 36 inches of FR4 PC board interconnects or up to 30 feet of CX-4 copper cable. High input signal dynamic range ensures low jitter output even when overdriven with input signal swings as high as 2000mVp-p.
